I'm moving to Jamaica...
I WISH! I have found a new musical love--Bob Marley and the Whalers. I love their words and carefree attitude. I have been listening to him when I feel down, things aren't going my way or when I'm just having a not so super day. "Don't worry 'bout a thing, cause every little thing is gonna be all right." What a good way to look at life! Everything IS going to be all right and work out just the way it's supposed to. Take one day at a time! :)

Random phone pictures
Em after eating a pop tart.
He was being so funny--had his hand out the window and was in his own little world!
Being crazy at the doctor's. Yeah, the same day we had croup for the second time!
Nothing too exciting is happening here with us. We're state testing for the next 2 weeks, which equals 3 weeks of useless instruction. SIGH. But, then it's almost spring break after that. I am so excited to work on my yard this spring and summer. And, it will be nice for the kids to be able to play in the yard and eat more dirt.

Conversations with Hazen, #599
My son has been cracking me up with the things he has been saying. Here's the latest:
Driving in the car to the store:
Hazen: Mom, you're talkin' crazy!
Me: I didn't say anything!
Hazen: Yeah, Mom, you're talkin' crazy!
Me (stifiling a laugh): Okay Haze, whatever you say!
Last night at Science Night at my school, in front of the Board of Ed President and another member:
Hazen: Mommy, I have to poop!
Me: Okay (as I apologize to the board members)
Hazen: MOMMY!!!! I HAVE TO POOP! HURRY! RUN! FASTER!
*Sigh* at least they were understanding about it and just laughed!

Hazen's first Nuggets game!
Not bad pictures considering they were from my cell phone!
Last night, Hazen and I ventured to the Nuggets-Jazz game. One of my friends took Emmie so it was just the boy and me. He was absolutely too excited and too cute! We were up pretty high, but had a great time, nonetheless. It was nice to have some quality Hazen-Mom time. It's rare that we get that!We had to drop Em off with Katharine half-way between the game and her house. So, we actually passed the Pepsi Center and I pointed it out to him on the way:
Me: Haze, there's where we're going to watch the basketball game
Hazen: We go watch bassaball there, Mommy?
Me: Yep, we just have to go drop sissy off first.
Hazen: Drop sissy off first? Oh man!
This is the Nuggets game through my son's eyes:
*Mommy, look at the doggy! (that would be Rocky the mountain lion mascot)
*Cool spaceship! (that would be the blimp thingies that drop coupons on people in the audience)
*I have to go potty (repeat 3-4 times)
*BE QUIET! (Hazen yelling at the crowd because they were booing the ref's bad call)
*I tired. We go pick up sissy? (by 9:00 my little one had had enough fun for one night)

Hazen turns 3!
My little boy is not so little anymore! He turned 3 on January 27th. We had a few people over, including his friend Ben, some of my friends and my family. It was a beautiful day--I even wore shorts! We had a good time and he got hooked up with some really nice presents! Here are some pictures:

Basketball frustration...
So, we're 0-2. We lost our first game by 6 and last night lost by 14. We WERE down by 25 but came back for a few minutes. We're midgets, plain and simlple. The boys are so small, but fast. We have a hard time understanding defense and offense and well, mostly everything really. I had THE best basketball coach in high school and defense was our game because we were slow. She was an amazing coach and I learned so much from her. I am trying to get them to understand that defense wins games, not throwing up NBA-range shots. (Thanks, over-rated, over-paid NBA players!) GRRRRRR....

Bilingual babes?
So, Haze and Em go to a daycare in the city I work in, and most of the women that work there speak both Spanish and English to the kids. This morning we were getting ready for school and I was putting Hazen's pants on him (they were orange). He looks at me and says. "Rojo, Mommy?" and I told him "no" and then he pointed to his Spiderman hat and said, "This rojo, Mommy." I was shocked! I didn't think he would pick up on Spanish words after only being exposed to them for about 2 months! It's awesome! I would LOVE for my kids to be bilingual! :)
