Oh, Hazen!

So we are driving to the sitter's house this morning and Hazen says, "Hey, Mama!" and I say, "Yes, Haze?" and he says, "What up, Mama?" Holy cow was I cracking up! He is so funny! I tried to teach him to say, "What up, yo?" and "What up, dude?" but he wasn't having it! Kids are so entertaining! Who needs cable and ipods?!

CAR WASH! HAZEN FOR HIRE!

Last night I decided to have Hazen help me wash my car. This was the second time he has helped and he was SO into making bubbles and scrubbing that I just had to share these pictures!

Been away for a while...

Okay, so we've been busy and I have been bad about posting everyday. Life goes too quickly! My litle ones have been keeping me on my toes. Thought I would share some pictures from the past few days...
Hazen and his friend Ben playing with Hazen's "Monster Truck."
The boys pulling the wagon. They were very inventive and pulled it with the hose!

Emmie munching on some sidewalk chalk!

Yummy!

Busy, busy, busy!

As you can see, haven't been so good about posting the daily picture. School is crazy, the master's classes add more to do and then there are the kids! Hazen has taken to saying "nevermind" and Emmer hates her shoes! They are absolutely too funny and SO entertaining! I am just amazed at how fast they have grown up. I can hardly believe Emmie will be 1 in a little over a month. CRAZY! We are going to get her 1-year pictures taken on Saturday in hopes that they will be ready for us to pick up by the time her birthday rolls around. I will post more pictures this weekend--Hazey's friend Ben came over yesterday and I snapped a few cute pics of the boys playing.

When mom is focused on sister...

Happy Labor Day!

Well, we had a pretty fun day today. Went to McDonald's and met Hazen's friend, Ben, and his mom so the boys could play. They had a great time. It had been about 3 months since they had seen each other and they were SO excited to see each other! Hazen had so much fun he got a fat lip!

I am going to TRY and copy my friend Kelly who does a "picture of the day." Today there are 2 pictures. The first one is of Hazen playing outside in the 90+ degree heat in his brand new Diego pj's. The boy is obsessed with Diego and HAD to wear them outside today. Too funny!

The other one is of Emmie getting stuck in the "0" foam mat. She put it on herself and couldn't get out!

One more funny...Hazen wanted to watch Diego (of course) and I told him we needed the buttons so I could turn it on. I asked him if he knew where they were and he went to the kitty door that goes into the closet, and pulled out the remote! Ha Ha!

Unsupervised minors....

Okay, so it's nap time. Or, it was about an hour ago. The past couple of days, Hazen has been really good about getting in his bed and just falling asleep. Yeah, he might jump on the bed or play around with Emmie, but he was doing SO good...until today. I checked on the kids about 15 minutes into nap time and little Emmie's hair is soaked, and so is the dresser. I ask myself, "What can possibly be in your hair and how did it get there?" Hazen had been opening his sippy cup on her head AND all over the dresser! Oh my my my! What a little ANGEL! So, Emmie got a bath in the sink and now is sleeping....Kids these days! Gotta love them!

You're my best friend

The other day, Hazen had just gotten out of the bath and was running around naked. He comes into the bathroom, wraps his arms around my waist and says, "Mama, you're my best friend!" then runs away. He comes in a minute later and says, "You're my big hero!" He makes my heart sing...

And the blogging begins....

After reading the blogs of several of my pals, I have decided to start one myself...like I don't have enough to do right now! So, here's a little update from Colorado.

Emmie is walking! She knows she is faster when she crawls, but she has become a very brave girl and will toddle around after Hazen. She is still a super eater (just look at her legs and you can tell!), and she can say "Mama." She seems to be doing better now that she has tubes in her ears--it is such a relief (both for her and for me!).

Hazen says some funny things. Here are some common phrases that probably need translation:

*Kifford=Clifford

*Lunch Bob=Sponge Bob

*the doggie and the girl=Lilo and Stitch

*the bear song=the Bare Necessities

* the bobber=Bob the Builder

* the Memer=Little Mermaid

He is getting so big and loves to jump on his bed with his sister. I know they shouldn't, but they are just SO cute when they are naked and jumping!
